The best card price app depends on what you collect: PriceCharting for graded and sports cards, Collectr or the TCGplayer app for scanning and tracking across many games, Cards AI for an AI condition grade before you submit, and TickerMint for free daily price history since February 2024, price alerts, deck costs and cost to complete on Pokemon, One Piece, Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh, Riftbound and Gundam.
Card price apps compared
TickerMint is a free price tracker for 6 card games (Pokemon, One Piece, Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh, Riftbound, Gundam) with daily TCGplayer prices since February 2024, price-drop email alerts, a 9-card binder scan and deck costs. We make TickerMint, so read this with that in mind: every other column is taken from that app's own pages, and where another app is the better pick we say so. "Not found" means we looked and could not confirm it.

WHERE EACH ONE IS BETTER
- PriceCharting. The best choice for graded cards: free prices for every grade from 7 to PSA 10 plus BGS and CGC 10, built from sales. It also covers sports cards, video games and comics, and its charts reach back to about 2020, further than ours.
- Collectr. The widest TCG coverage of the collection apps (25+ games), graded and sealed portfolio tracking, and a large community.
- TCGplayer app. Its Market Price comes straight from sales on its own marketplace (the same number TickerMint records every day), the scanner is free, and you can buy the card in the same app.
- Ludex. The pick for sports cards: unlimited scans even on the free plan, and one-tap eBay listing.
- PokemonPriceTracker. A low-cost Pokemon API with graded prices from eBay sales, Japanese cards, and grading ROI and pack EV calculators.
- Dex. The deepest Pokemon variant and set tracking (including Chinese sets), a deck builder with draw odds, and trade finding.
- Cards AI. An AI condition grade (centering, corners, edges, surface) before you pay to submit, with raw and graded values from sold comps, for sports cards and TCGs in one scanner.
WHAT ONLY TICKERMINT HAS
- Free daily price history since February 2024: every card's daily TCGplayer market price, never paywalled (newer games since we started tracking them).
- Deck costs: what each Pokemon Standard archetype costs to build, card by card, repriced nightly.
- Cost to complete a set, and box or singles: every set page adds up the singles and weighs the booster box against its chase cards.
- Binder page scan: photograph a 9-pocket page and every card is identified and priced.
- Free price alerts: watch a card, set your price, get an email when it crosses (25 cards free).
- Grading calculator: the chance of a PSA 10 you need for grading to pay after fees (PokemonPriceTracker has a grading ROI tool too).

QUESTIONS
What is the best app to check Pokemon card prices?
+×
The best card price app depends on what you collect: PriceCharting for graded and sports cards, Collectr or the TCGplayer app for scanning and tracking across many games, Cards AI for an AI condition grade before you submit, and TickerMint for free daily price history since February 2024, price alerts, deck costs and cost to complete on Pokemon, One Piece, Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh, Riftbound and Gundam.
What is the best free Pokemon card scanner app?
+×
Ludex offers unlimited scans on its free plan and the TCGplayer app's scanner is free. Collectr scans too, but unlimited scanning needs PRO. TickerMint scans 25 cards a day free with an account on the web and iPhone, and is the only app we found that prices a whole 9-card binder page from one photo (once a day free).
What is a good PriceCharting alternative?
+×
For graded and sports cards PriceCharting is hard to beat. For trading card games, TickerMint is a free alternative with daily TCGplayer prices, free history back to February 2024, price alerts, deck costs and cost to complete a set. Side by side: https://tickermint.cards/compare/pricecharting.
Which card price app has the longest price history?
+×
PriceCharting's free card charts go back to about 2020 (monthly points) and Collectr PRO advertises 5+ years. TickerMint records every card daily since February 2024 for Pokemon, One Piece and Lorcana and shows all of it free; PokemonPriceTracker shows 3 days free and 6 months at $9.99 a month.
Which app shows how much a Pokemon deck costs?
+×
TickerMint prices every Pokemon Standard tournament archetype card by card at https://tickermint.cards/decks, using the list most top-32 decks play and the cheapest legal printing. We did not find deck costs on PriceCharting, Collectr, Ludex, PokemonPriceTracker, Dex or Cards AI.
Is there a Pokemon card price API now that pokemontcg.io is shutting down?
+×
Yes. TickerMint's API is free for personal and non-commercial use with a link back (commercial plans from $49 a month) and looks cards up by their pokemontcg.io id (https://tickermint.cards/pokemon-tcg-api). PokemonPriceTracker sells an API from $9.99 a month, PriceCharting's API is on its $49 a month plan, and TCGplayer is not granting new API access.
How much does TickerMint cost?
+×
Card pages, full price history, set pages, deck costs, the grading calculator and price alerts on up to 25 watched cards are free. Premium is $7.99 a month or $79 a year (unlimited watchlist, more binder scans, the verdict on every card); Pro is $14.99 a month.
