TICKERMINT

Card price API for deck builders and deck cost tools

PRICE A DECKLIST, NO KEY

Search each line once, keep the product_id, then read the card's market price. Add the collector number to each line so search finds the right printing.

import requests

API = "https://api.tickermint.cards"

# A decklist as copies and what you would type in search (name plus collector number)
deck = [(4, "dreepy 128/167"), (4, "drakloak 129/167"), (3, "dragapult ex 130/167")]

total = 0.0
for copies, query in deck:
    hits = requests.get(f"{API}/products/search", params={"q": query, "game": "pokemon"}, timeout=10).json()
    if not hits:
        print("not found:", query)
        continue
    pid = hits[0]["product_id"] # cache this id: search has a lower rate limit than the price calls
    row = requests.get(f"{API}/products/{pid}.csv", timeout=10).text.strip().split("\n")[1]
    price = row.rsplit(",", 2)[1]
    if price:
        total += copies * float(price)
        print(copies, hits[0]["name"], price)
print("deck cost", round(total, 2))

TOURNAMENT DECK COSTS

Each active Pokemon or One Piece tournament deck with the cost of its typical list today and the change over the last week. /decks/{game}/{slug} returns one deck priced card by card.

import requests

API = "https://api.tickermint.cards"

# What each tournament deck costs to build today (Pokemon and One Piece)
board = requests.get(f"{API}/decks", params={"game": "pokemon"}, timeout=10).json()
for d in board["decks"][:10]:
    print(d["name"], d["total"], d["change_7d_amount"])

QUESTIONS

Can I show these prices to my users?

+

Yes. In a personal or non-commercial project the free plan covers it. Inside a commercial app, site, bot or tool you need API Pro, $49 a month, 1,200 requests a minute, or API Business ($149 a month) for written retention and export rights. Every plan asks for a visible link to the TickerMint page the price came from (tickermint.cards/card/{product_id}, also the url column of every CSV row). No plan allows reselling the raw prices as a dataset or feed, or building a competing price API on them.

Which printing does a deck cost use?

+

In your own tool, whichever product you look up: search returns every printing, so pick the one your users choose. The tournament deck costs from /decks use the cheapest printing of each Pokemon card and the cheapest regular printing of each One Piece card number.

Which games have tournament deck costs?

+

Pokemon and One Piece. Card prices for your own decklists cover Pokemon, One Piece, Lorcana, Riftbound, Gundam and Yu-Gi-Oh.

What are the rate limits?

+

120 requests a minute per IP with no key, lower on search. A key on a free account keeps the same 120 a minute; Developer keys get 600, API Pro 1,200 and API Business 3,000, and every paid plan opens the bulk endpoints. Prices change once a day and answers are cached for up to an hour, so cache on your side too.
